I am selling my 1981 USA G&L L-1000 bass in sunburst with maple neck (the neck has a vintage color and it looks beautiful), weights around 9.5 lbs (serial number is B0063xx). This bass is ALL ORIGINAL. I am the second owner and I bought it from a friend of mine that he bought it brand new. He can not play it anymore. The condition is very good to excellent for the bass which is 30 years old. The front look excellent, the back has some scratches and some small dings as you can see in the pictures, they just go thru the finish and touch the wood, but not thru the wood. There is a small dent on the back of the neck (see pictures). This bass has not been use much as the condition of it, my friend just a careless user, that's all. If you look at it a few feets away, it looks excellent. The neck looks great, straight. The frets are excellent. It has been professional setup for a low/medium action. I am selling it because I have too many basses and time to trim down. The trust rod works fine, all the electronics works perfectly. It sounds incredible. I own many basses and this one is one of the best, if not the best. Comes with the original hard case that has one lack broken, but still useable. Price to sell $995 shipped within the USA. I can ship outside the USA if you pay for actual cost of shipping. Paypal payment only.

This bass is passive, 3 knobs: volume, trebble, bass. The switch for pickup coil selections, and bass boot

Nice photos! Do you know if the body is mahogany? I can't tell by the photos. I'm not totally sure but the all brown and 2 tone sunburst Wunkays are mahogany as far as I know. Let me know what kind of wood it is, please. Interested in a trade? I have a 1986 MusicMan StingRay 5 that I think I might trade for your Wunkay. Testing your feelings about it. My SR5 is in about the 85% range of condition. It's a sunburst finish but is more of a honey burst or redish orange to yellow burst. All maple neck, white guard and is strung with a new set of Lakland Joe Osborn flats. Original, OHSC in very good condition. My SR5 dates 6 months after they were first introduced to the retail stores. A collectable or a soon to be collectable. Alnico pickup and not ceramic like the newer ones. Can send photos. By the way..............NICE WUNKAY!!!!!! Good luck.
