Made by Ibanez for Roland. It carries a regular Ibanez serial number which dates to June, 1981.
The bass is an active 18 volt bass (runs on two 9 volt batteries, and I'll throw in two Duracells), and works fine on the active circuit. The controls are Volume/Treble/Bass for the active circuit, and the other four knobs and mini toggle must be for the synth circuitry. I've never tested the synth circuit since I don't have the GR-33B synth unit, but the wiring and all looks perfectly intact, it should work. But its very usable as a normal active bass, and you can add the GR-33B synth unit and 24 pin cable down the road if desired. Comes with a set of flats installed and they look like D'Addario, due to the color-coded ball ends.
For your enjoyment, here's the great Nathan Watts using this same model bass with Stevie Wonder. He used the bass both with and without synth.

The condition is used, with normal finish wear such as dings, scratches, and the edge of the headstock has some good-sized finish chips. The frets have plenty of life in them and have no deep grooves. The brass bridge, saddles and nut are a little tarnished. The metal plate under the synth pickups shows a little corrosion.
The truss rod cover is custom made by me, out of maple wood, and it was a pretty good job if I do say so myself. It was made precisely to fit the pattern of the existing screw holes in the headstock from the original truss rod cover (the original cover was missing when I acquired the bass), and then finished in tinted poly to match the maple neck pretty closely. In other words, it wasn't a slap-dash job. It short, its in average cosmetic condition for a 27 year old bass. It does play well. The neck has a great feel.
Pic of the truss rod cover to be added tomorrow.
Neck-thru
Laminated maple neck, select ebony fretboard
"Walnut" body (I've seen it called walnut in print. If truly walnut, its a species I'm not familiar with. Looks more like stained ash to me - maybe its called "walnut" due to the color of the stain)
34 inch scale
Brass bridge, saddles and nut
Gold plated tuners
It will come with a well-used non-original hard case (the case has a broken hinge but will serve to protect it during shipping).
Price, $275 shipped to the 48 states.
