This is a gorgeous, all original 1982 YAMAHA BB2000 w/OHSC in excellent cosmetic and playing condition. Its build is a 5 piece birdseye maple/mahogany stringer capillary neck, alder wings and here’s the kicker, unlike all other BB basses that have a maccassar ebony fretboard this one has a beautiful Brazilian rosewood fretboard! Its passive electronics are a reverse split P middle pickup and a single coil blade pickup in the bridge position, the controls are Volume/tone/pickup select. The hardware is in great shape, the truss rod works properly, it weighs 9 lb 13 oz, the nut width is 1.65” and it comes with the original factory inspection sign off card. On receiving the bass I had Glade Rasmussen level, crown, polish the frets, buff the fretboard and go over the entire bass. It has a ding on the lower edge but all in all it’s remarkably clean for its age. The case has plenty of scuffs but all of its hardware works properly, please see all photos. Its notes sound really clear and somewhat compressed so the slap tone is outstanding and it has a nice mid-range bounce when played with fingers.
It will be very carefully packed and shipped free to CONUS for $799.
