FS: 1983 G&L L-1000

For sale is this 1983 G&L L-1000 in excellent condition considering it's almost 30 years old. As you can see, this has the old style, pre-lawsuit headstock, black wrinkle control plate and bridge and the original hard case with plush lining. I just recently bought this bass back because I missed it, and then I made the mistake of going into a local music shop and finding a somewhat rare bass that I just had to buy. So, now I am offering this fine, early model G&L L-1000 for a great value. The ash body, natural finish, birds-eye maple neck and rosewood board give this bass a classic look, and it plays fantastic. Very even sound across all strings, and when you flip the toggle to "turbo bass", that's when the floor shakes. All passive, the bass is simply terrific. If you look closely you will see some wear signs, but nothing very noticeable at all (a little rash on the back). The frets were dressed and crowned not long ago and are in great shape. With the case will come an original instruction manual and the inspection tag signed by Leo Fender himself. Weighs 10.5 lbs.

$825 shipped to the CONUS. For Alaska, Hawaii and Canada, extra shipping charges will apply. Paypal is fine.
