FS: 1983 Pre-Ernie Ball Music Man Stingray (2 band EQ)

This bass is in great condition, has a serial number that begins with "B0" (designates this as a genuine pre-EB), somewhat rare trans red body and maple board, bridge with foam mutes intact and includes an original pre- EB corduroy case. There is a little pea-sized chip in the finish on the body behind the neck. Any other marks are very minor. This bass is truly in great condition. The case shows wear on the outside but is in great condition inside. Electronics and truss rod work fine, and the 2-band EQ is sought after by many players. Weighs 9.6 lbs. on a bathroom scale. When I bought this bass a few months ago, I had planned to put it in the closet for a few years and see how the value goes up. I haven't had it out of my home at all (smoke-free). Was asking $1,975.......now dropped to $1,875 shipped to CONUS. I will ship to Hawaii, Alaska and Canada, but I'll charge to cover extra shipping.

Interesting Factoid. Even though these are in fact Pre-Ernie Ball MusicMan basses, they were actually Made by a Fledgling luthier named Grover Jackson...

I love my White/Maple '83 Stingray.
