Hi Folks,

You fellow G&L nuts are going to thing I'm crazy, but this just isn't my thing. I recently bought this from Madcity Fats (who by the way, is one of the most outstanding fellows I've ever dealt with, a real prince!)
Here's the original link, I'll let it tell the story:

FS: 1984 G&L SB-2 (1st gen J/J pup config) 3TSB -- Leo's last Jazz model!

I always thought I was missing out on trying one of these early SB2's, but it just doesn't "click" for me. Part of it is the neck, I'm so accustomed to 1.5" necks on all my basses. I'm sticking to my L1000 & L2000, they do it for me.

So it's back on the block for the original price.... $675 shipped.

Depending on how long this lasts, how much insurance money I get for mine (which was stolen last Friday) and/or whether or not the fine Officers of the Raleigh Police Department recover it...I may or may not be all over this. How's that for wish washy?!

Great bass, but if it ain't your thing, it ain't your thing.

Sorry this one didn't work out for you, Gary. Wouldn't you know I just deleted these pics from my photobucket account. But I think I emailed them to you?

Great guy to deal with, y'all. And a great bass! (I still have one of this model in the stable or this wouldn't be floating around).

Sorry to hear about your loss, Krustwell. Crossing my fingers that it all works out for you. Maybe the timing on this is serendipity?

The original thread no longer has a pic and photobucket link shows "page not found".

Guys, I've gotten a few messages that suggest I should really try this on a gig before I so abruptly part with her. So I'm going to close this for now, use her this weekend, and see what happens!
