I have a very beautiful 1984 Ric 4003 for sale. Fireglo. Serial number is XK12**. Ric-O-Sound and mono out. It's been upgraded with a Rickenbacker push-pull tone pot on the bridge pickup. Also hex screws have been installed for easy bridge height adjustment and can easily be retunred to the stock screws. Otherwise original. I'm the third owner of this bass.
I don't think you will find a nicer Ric from this era. It's been played but not abused. Frets are in great condition. Binding shows no cracks or separation. No neck or truss rod issues. Pickguards are in great shape. Tuners work as they are supposed to. It has the bridge that was standard during this era with two extra screws so no tail-lift is possible.
The finish is original and in excellent condition. There are a few nicks. I tried to photograph from all angles. Excuse the large photos and number of images.. I just want people to know what they are getting.... :-)
The neck is very comfortable to play.
In addition to the bridge pickup surround that you'll see in the pictures, I have the original pickup cover and the case as shown in photos.
It has all the tone you'd want out of a 4003 or 4001.
$1325 plus shipping.
Trades: About the only trade I'd consider towards this would be a Steinberger XM plus cash.
Is that my old bass. This is Greg from White Lake,NC.If it is let me know because the guy I bought it from wanted to buy it back but I had already made the deal with you.I'll get him in touch with you. Thanks
