Hey all,
This is one I know I will regret but here it goes.
Up for sale is a 1986 Brooklyn era Spector NS-2.
Here is a link to the ad on thelowend.net which is where I bought it from:

(*note: the lowend called it a "Brooklyn era Kramer." No idea if that's true or not*)
This is a killer bass and everything you want from a Spector. 3 Piece neck through, solid quilt maple wings, dark rosewood fingerboard, gold hardware, active EMG's and of course the legendary HAZ preamp.
This one is certainly a players bass.
The clear coat is very thin and is chipping in certain areas. I've had it a few months and no more has flaked off, so as long as you're not picking at it, its pretty stable.
There is some belt rash on the back of the body, a few dings here and there.
The previous owner scratched in "SHEA ROXI" by the upper horn. I'm assuming was their band name. Its only noticeable under certain light.
The frets have some light wear, but there is still lots of life in them and the bass plays great with low action (~3/32" @ the 12th fret) Truss rod works, and the neck is as straight as an arrow.
All the electronics function 100% and the HAZ is super powerful.
Bass weight a hair under 10lbs according to the old bathroom scale.
I know neck thickness is a concern on these so I took some measurements and pics (see below)
This comes with the OHSC and original Schaller Straplocks.
Anyway I'm asking less than what I paid for:
$2050.00 Shipped within the Continental US.
PM me if you have any questions or need more pics of something specific.
Now for pics...
