FS: 1986 G&L SB-1, black with maple neck

Sign in to disble this ad
I am selling my 1986 vintage USA G&L SB-1 bass, second generation (Fender sued headstock), in black with maple neck, weights around 9 lbs. This bass is all original. The condition is very good/excellent for the bass which is 24 years old. There are a few small dings on the edge the headstock and couple of dents on the side of the body, the front and back looks great. The neck looks great. The trust rod works fine, all the electronics works perfectly. I am selling it because I have too many basses and time to trim down. It sounds incredible, the pickups are really hot, just like a precision on steroid, killer tone. The bass just has been pro setup and ready to play. Current strung with GHS boomers strings. Comes with gig bag. Price to sell $675 shipped within the USA, no trade. Paypal accept. Please PM me if interested.

If I may......

The width at the nut should actually be 1 11/16", and is without a doubt, the most killer feeling neck in all of bassdom! I have a '87 SB1 (white/maple), and it's a stellar sounding axe.

Good luck with your sale!
