FS: 1988 MIJ Fender Jazz Bass - 25 Year Old Perfection

This is a very nice 1988 MIJ Fender Jazz Bass that is in totally ridiculous condition for it's age. Just a few very minor signs of having ever been been played. I have never seen another one in this kind of shape.

This bass has that classic vintage feel that has made the MIJ basses from the '80 so sought after. Great classic tone!

Totally stock with a vibrant Candy Apple Red finish that is a little on the darker side. Rich dark rosewood board with hardly any fret wear. Very straight neck with low, buzz free action. Stock passive pickups and electronics.

Absolutely no issues!

By request, the weight of this bass is a very comfortable 9.5 pounds on my digital scale and the finish is polyurethane. To the best of my knowledge Fender never made basses in Japan that were finished with nitro.

The early JV Squiers, the 62 JV Jazz Bass had Nitro on them Spencer. It was a direct copy of the 62 Jazz down to the reverse Kluson tuners, cloth wire pups, etc. Bump for a superb jazz bass.
