SOLD - 1989 Fender AVRI '62 Jazz

SOLD 1989 Fender AVRI '62 Jazz bass. With bridge & pickup covers (holes are drilled), unused string mutes, non-original tweed Fender G&G case. It appears to have a replaced nut and a notch has been filed into the pickguard to allow truss rod adjustment w/o removing the neck. Everything else is original. 8/10: minor dings, many through lacquer, lacquer cracking around the neck plate, lacquer worn through on the treble side of the rear of the neck. Very little fret wear. 9 lbs., 1 oz. $1050. w/ shipping & Paypal in the CONUS. Thanks for looking.

Somebody buy this bass. This is a sweet deal. I have an identical 1982 one just like. It is my number one player. Beats most all of the current Custom Shop models.

I'd have to agree. My boss is letting me hold on to his (it's just a few years younger) and it's phenomenal. I really can't believe it.

I'd rather not. There's too many basses around here and I find I'm playing mostly 5 strings these days so I want to thin the herd a little. Thanks for asking.

Slight correction: In 1989 these were called the "Vintage Series", not "American Vintage" as I implied in the first post. It is definitely made in the USA.
