Well difficult times call for tough decisions and this certainly is one. I have actually sold this bass twice in the past but then managed to buy it back. Unfortunately I need to try and sell it once again.
This is a 1989 MIJ Fender P-Bass finished in what looks to me to be "Surf Green" although it could be either faded "Seafoam Green" or "Sonic Blue". What ever it is, it's the original finish and it looks really cool. There is some wear on the body, neck and headstock but it's not bad at all. One small chip on the back of the body does go through the finish. Kind of adds to the vibe IMO!
I added the tort guard but I will include the original white one. I also changed out the original pickups with a set of Quarter Pounders but I can put the originals back in if they are preferred. The pots and jack have been replaced with switchcraft components because the original ones were scratchy and somewhat worn out.
This bass feels so vintage it's amazing. The fingerboard has a nice roll to the edges and the overall balance and resonance of the instrument really reminds of a vintage mid 60's P-Bass. The playability is excellent with a nice low action and no fret buzz. The Duncan pickup gives it a bit more bite and presence than the original pickup but it still delivers that instantly recognizable P-Bass tone. SOLD $975.00 shipped in a genuine tweed Fender HSC that shows a little matching road wear.
PayPal is gladly accepted although an echeck would be preferred.
I know that this is a little more than these basses typically go for but I really feel that this one is exceptional and worth what I'm asking. Plus I'm including shipping and a nice matching hard shell case that would easily sell for $100 by itself.
Take a look at these photos and see if you don't agree. This is a rare beauty for sure!

EDIT: I would be VERY interested if it wasn't because I live in Sweden..

Like my signature line says "Comes and goes, Mon"
As much as we all love these things called basses they are just "things", when it comes right down to it. It's what we actually create with these "things" that matters most. |
