This is a beautiful US Fender P with absolutely no issues. I just have too many basses.
Teal nitro finish with lots of finish cracks but no chips or dents. Maple board in great shape. A couple minor dings on the back of the neck. Currently sporting active EMG P pickups powered by a single 9 volt battery in the routed cavity on the back. Gold anodized guard with stock bridge and reverse tuners.
This bass looks, plays and sounds great! Comes with a somewhat worn vintage Fender tweed hard shell case. Price reduced to only $950.00 shipped and insured in the CONUS.

It's actually closer to Ocean Turquoise IMO and that may have been the original color. It has changed a bit with age. If you look at the link to the other photos I think you'll agree it's not Lake Placid Blue. Whatever it was, or is, it certainly is pretty in person! |

I used to Live in Arvada,Co. but I was heavily into Punk at the time and the music store wouldn't let me plug in the basses after they let me jam on one through a cab,,,,, they specialized in high end acoustics and said my bass playing left a bad ambiance (sp?) in the store when I left so NO MORE! Ha, thanks! Charlie Daniels actually bought me that hat......
I worked during the day as a record promotion man back in the '70's and I got to know Charlie because he was on Buddah Records at the time which was one of the labels I represented. What a great musician and such a nice man. He came over one night after a concert in Denver and jammed with my band until 5 AM. Those were the days.............

I don't really know the history of the bass prior to me owning it.............. |

Google is not being so forthcoming with the information right now. Perhaps they did them as a spray over. at any rate this is about the most killer 57 RI i've seen on TB for a while. So rare to not see them in the same 2 colors they always come in. Bump for one heck of a pretty P. If I had the money I'd be in the doghouse.
Bump for finding extra pictures of this, can you confirm? Looks like it. https://picasaweb.google.com/1081239...5584/FenderP2# https://picasaweb.google.com/1081239...4/FenderPBass# FS/FT Feeler '89 RI P-Bass Sherwood

Well I guess this is where it starts to get subjective. If a bass has 1989 stamps but wasn't actually finished by Fender or sold until 1990, does that make it a 1989 or 1990 vintage? I'm not really sure and I suspect there are lots of opinions on both sides of this question. To me it would be a 1989 vintage because that's the year it was stamped............ |
