After a long love affair, I've decided to part with my black '91 American Standard Jazz Bass. Affectionately referred to as the "longhorn" or "boner" bass, this is one of the years when the American Standard had two extra frets and a more elongated body style (if you're unfamiliar, just do a search for "boner bass" and you'll get all the info. you need).
I'm the original owner, and other than 20 years of normal wear on the finish (pick scratches, a bit of belt rash, etc.--but nothing through the finish) she's in excellent condition. I've taken her to my local guy for regular tune-ups over the years, so her neck is straight; she has a nice, low action; there is plenty of life in the frets; and she sounds and plays like a dream.
I had the pearloid pick guard custom made a year or so after I got her, but I still have the stock white one as well.
I'm asking $725 o.b.o. Not interested in trades, as I recently picked up a Noel Redding L.E. Jazz and a Jaguar. She doesn't come with a case, but I will throw in the gig bag that the Jaguar came with. I'll only charge exact cost for packing and shipping Please PM me for more info. and pics. Thanks!
