FS: 1990 Rickenbacker 4001v63
I have played and owned many v63's in my time - this is by far the finest. It's from 1990, which means the neck is slim, the headstock is long, and the bridge pickup surround is closer to vintage spec.
It is currently strung up with TI Flats and it has the McCartney tone in spades. The action is super low. It plays like a dream!
It is nearly dead mint.
Not even sure what else to say! If you're looking for a v63, this is the one you want.
Asking $2500 shipped (in the OHSC) & PP'd.
Trades considered but not preferred. I'll probably be very picky on any potential trades, just so you know!
I disagree with everything you say cause my 1993 mapleglo V63 is better !!! Ha!
Everyone, jbiscuti is right !!! Those V63 from the early 90's are the ones to have ! They feel awesome and sound absolutely fantastic !!!
Great price too for a mint unit too !!
Hey John! '97 v63FG interest you? Not sure on my end but I'm thinking about it!
Nothing else comes close to these basses. Love my '93 V63. How is this bass still here?!
I had one exactly like it...even the same year...could it be? Oh no,last time i checked,it was still with the owner in Europa...
Anyway,it was a fine bass......really liked the pickups in these.
Good luck with the sale, shouldn't take long....
Swimming in offers but it's still here!
What is the measured nut width on this fine instrument?
I have an '89 that I bought from a TBer that I will (hopefully) never part with. Bump for a great bass!
Still thinking about this one, John!
