FS: 1991 Warwick Dolphin ProII

I think it's time this beauty gets played more.

It's a bad pic, but it's hard to get the transparent dark brown to not look black.

I bought it new for $1200, in 1991, and I'd like to get $1000 for it.

This one is nice for 2 very good reasons, the price and then the room for the thumb and slapping between the end of the fret board and pick ups.

Why does one of these have to pop up when I have no money or room for a new bass?!?!?! Wanted one of these ever since I played one at Black Market Music down in LA many years ago.

Any interest in trades?

Looks like velcro for a ramp.

Sorry for the delay.

Yes, Marial is right, it is velcro for a ramp.

Gary Willis did some setup on it in '91 while I was at BIT, and when I asked him about his ramp, he said, "Just make one yourself, it's easy". So, I made mine removable.

Well, I'd like to thin the herd, and I don't have a need for much else, but I'll entertain the thought. What do you have, ChrisCassisi? (Funny coincidence, I bought this in L.A., I think it was called Nadine's?)

Can you send me a PM? I hate the fact we can't PM on the mobile app. I am sitting in jazz class and don't have my computer.

I might be open to an amp trade, but I'm still looking into reviews. Possibly Tecamp Puma, or similar. +/- cash.

Anyone?

This is so tempting! Can you describe it technically, in what conditions are frets, neck, truss rod, electronic?

I'll try my best.

The last time I took it in for a tune-up, the truss was given a slight adjustment, and the frets were given a clean bill of health. That was sometime around 2005, and it has been in the closet since. Plugged it in and she plays fine. Someone is really going to love this thing, but it just doesn't fit my playing anymore.

The bad: The truss rod cover and the chunk of metal under the bridge is missing. This was removed when Gary Willis did some setup to it, and I lost track of them over the years. However, it's because it plays better without the chunk of metal. There is also 2 tiny dings in the paint at the bottom of the bass.

For serious interest, I'll certainly take detailed pics.

I might consider trades for a Reverend Decision or Thundergun, Lakland Skyline 'Precision' models or Jones models.

Sorry, I couldn't make time this weekend to get more detailed pics. Too busy with shows.

I'll get some as soon as possible.

Well, I have a Thundergun en route, so let's consider trades for a Thunderfunk or a Tecamp!

I've got too much coming in and not enough going out!

It's not easy having a Ferrari in the garage, knowing that you just don't don't race it anymore. This is a painful parting of ways. Anyway, I now have some detailed pics of the misc. nicks, here and there. If you're really interested, I'll email them to you.

Well, the Thundergun is not going to stay, so I'm back to trade offers.

Precision or Jazz (Fender, Lakland, Warmoth, etc.), with maple fingerboards.
