S O L D: 1992 USA G&L SB-2

Sign in to disble this ad
Emerald-blue-over-alder SB2. Purchased last September here on TB (here's link to original listing: FS '95 G&L SB-2

Spent a bit and had this upgraded, then my band went south and it’s been sitting in my closet. Want to send it to a new home where it’ll be used!

BWB pickguard, jazz neck (1 ˝” at the nut), rosewood fretboard, weight approximately 9.5 lbs. Has a few barely noticeable bumps and bruises befitting a mojo machine player!

Upgrades include a new Hipshot D-tuner (original tuner sent also), a pro setup and new DR flatwounds Shipped in a non-OEM HSC (case is missing “feet” but works just fine for protection). Will also include a Fender gig bag.

Price is ; Paypal preferred.

They call it "emerald blue" - a very nice metallic blue-green (or teal depending on your color definitions). It, like many skinny necked G&Ls, has passed through my homestead and been photographed against the wood floor.

Do you have the Allen wrenches for the bridge lock, saddle adjustments, truss rod, pickup pole adjustments and micro tilt adjustment? Some may be the same size but I'm not sure.

I believe Chef is correct. I have the two standard sets of allen wrenches from the local hardware store and remember using only a couple for the SB2 (it's been a while - can't remember the exact sizes).

Hmmm...could it be that there's a lack of love for this awesome player? Hard to imagine that! Let's lower the price , shipped and insured, and see if that generates a bit more interest.

I'm having a hard time with that one myself, Stuart! If no one snags it in another week or so, I'll probably just return it to hibernation duty in my closet.

Yep, staying with me. I have three early Sterlings (rosewood, maple, fretless) and it's the lightest, punchiest and most resonant of the bunch. Beyond the Sterlings, my favorite bass is my SB-2 (JJ). Bump for a PJ SB-2 that I would love to own.
