After spending a couple of weeks with a new bass build, I have decided to sell my 1994 Modulus Q5. I will not be able to complete any transactions until after 8/16, but wanted to post to see if there was any interest.
figured walnut top
Honduran mahogany back with a purpleheart / maple / purpleheart center strip
modifications include:
EMG40CS pickups, EMG BTS system, 18v (originally 40P's)
ABM bridge (originally Schaller)
Hipshot ultralite tuners
ebony knobs
This bass, originally a custom order, is in excellent condition and I have been its sole owner. Over the years, I made a few changes to suit my tastes/needs . It is a versatile bass that speaks with a slightly darker character than other moduli- It sits nicely in the mix, but with a little less top-end sizzle. Currently strung with a fresh set of EXL170-5SL's.
$1400 shipped to the lower 48
no trades, tomato plants not included
paypal preferred
Thanks for looking!

The original bridge and tuners are not available, but I consider the Hipshot Ultralites and ABM bridge to be upgrades, IMO. The weight of a set of 5 ultralights= 4 of the Modulus /Gotohs. |

I just received my Q5 TBX back from the shop for a little fret/FB work. I have a few really nice basses, but nothing plays like a Modulus. You can dig in with very low action, super fast. Someone will get a great deal here........

It is priced to move 'cuz I want me some new Bergantinos!!!
+1 on the B string. The pitch is so clear, you can hear the "swing of the string".
