SOLD: 1994 Peavey RSB Koa w/Molded Case

SOLD

For all you koa lovers, here is a gorgeous 1994 Peavey RSB Koa in excellent condition. The original fitted molded Peavey hardshell case is included.

This svelte 8 lb. 7 oz beauty has a two piece Koa body, 24 fret maple neck (34" scale & 1 5/8" nut width), Pau Ferro board and abalone markers. The gold hardware is in excellent condition with minimal wear.

The bass has two active VFL humbucking pickups running on a single 9V battery. The controls include a volume, balance and tone. It is currently strung with Chromes flats.

If you look close enough you will find a few small flaws on this bass including an extremely shallow, and yet detectable ding on the back of the neck just before the 5th fret. There is also a pinhead sized shallow mark between the balance knob and the bridge pickup, a very shallow scratch on the front of the body near the lower horn cutout, a shallow ding on the upper bout and a shallow scratch on the back of the bass on the lower horn. Most of these are only visible if you turn the bass at an angle that reflects light off the body.

This is a beautiful 17 year old bass in fantastic condition.

Would I be correct to assume this is a USA bass?

Pics of case... closed and opened...

I've had requests for a few more pics. Here is the case... closed and opened. The case is in very nice condition with only light superficial scratches.

Pics of 9V electronics and bass snuggled in case...

I had another request about the electronics of the 9V powered active VFL humbucking pickups. Here's the control cavity... appears to be very well designed.
