FS: 1995 Alembic Epic

Sign in to disble this ad
***SOLD***
It's found a new home in Oregon.

I'm selling a 1995 Alembic Epic. I just bought this bass about a month ago. The reason I'm selling this one is simply that I found one in better shape locally(thanks Claude). I can only play one at a time anyway.
It has definitely been played and has it fair share of dings, nicks, etc. It plays and sounds fine and my only issues are the aesthetics. There is wear around the neck pickup, bigger dings near the lower horn, etc. I tried to get pics of the whole bass.
One other thing I will mention is the pots seem really easy to turn as compared to the one I just picked up. I'm not sure what's up with that but they work fine.
I had started to clean it up but only got as far as the nut, neck and bridge.

The other pics are here:

I'm NOT looking for any trades since I'm eating Ramen noodles until I sell this bass.

I'm looking for $1000 + shipping which is below what I just paid for it.

Thanks

Beautiful bass. Potentially ignorant question--are these passive? There's no mention of a preamp on Alembic's website. Is it just assumed that all Alembic basses have preamps?

Fingerboard ebony
Nut width 1.625
24th fret width 2.360
Truss rods dual, body adjust

Controls vol, pan, bass, treble
Tailpiece solid brass, half-moon
Machine heads Gold Alembic-Gotoh

Yessiree, active electronics. It's all Alembic's home grown electronics in there.
