FS - 1995 Fretless 4 String Pedulla Thunderbass

I hate to do this because this bass plays and sounds so awesome (not to mention it's looks and craftsmanship!) , but I came to the realization that it is more important to get caught up on my bills than to have two awesome basses. So up for sale is my back-up bass.

FS - 1995 Fretless 4 String Pedulla Thunderbass. Some people call these a Thunderbuzz. I'm not exactly sure of the color , but I'd call it orange flamed maple (Sunburst?). The neck is in great shape and is a lined fretless with dots on both the fret board and the top of the neck so even a novice fretless player knows exactly where they are. All Thunderbasses are neck through body.

The bass is in good shape for a bass of this age and has some minor dings. There is a scratch by the bridge and a small spot on the headstock where the finish chipped off.

I did a search in the sale thread and I couldn't find another 4 string fretless Thunderbass for a price comparison. Either there weren't many of these made or people who own them hang onto them.

The bass comes with the Pedulla hardshell case. The bass also comes with a nice wide padded leather black Levys strap with Dunlop locking strap locks installed. The original strap locks will also be in the case.

Asking $1400.00 $1200.00 plus1/2 of shipping CONUS. Payment Method = PayPal

Photos:

Here is a photo of the fretless Thunderbass (Top) with my other fretted Thunderbass (Bottom). Only the top bass is for sale.

Three more photos

Here are three more photos of the Thunderbass.

Front:

Back:

Neck: The fret board has two colors running through it and looks very nice. I'm not sure if it's purpleheart or just some other two toned wood??

The two flaws

Here are the two minor flaws mentioned in the initial sale post.

Headstock flaw:

Body Flaw: It looks like there is also a scratch by the switch in the photo , but there isn't. Not sure why that appeared in the photo?

pedulla

Is it me or doesn,t fertless mean no frets? Or do you just use marking frets with no bar frets? Then say fretless. Too me fretless means no marks at all on the fret board maybe I am confused. Is this the parents without partners meeting?????????

To Me - A fretless means no fret bars on the neck. This bass would be considered a lined fretless. A fretless is a fretless - whether it has fret lines or not. They both get the same sweet fretless sound. The only difference is - It is easier to play a lined fretless (at least for me it is). I hope this clears up your confusion.

Please feel free to correct me if I am wrong.

Price dropped to $1200.00!!!

Price dropped to $1200.00 (plus 1/2 of shipping)

Thanks for the trade offers , but I'm not looking to trade this bass.

I'm not selling this bass because I'm gassing for a different bass. I absolutely love this bass , but I really need to work on getting some of my bigger bills lowered instead of owning a back-up bass at this time.

Besides the couple trade offers I am really surprised by the lack of comments on this beautiful Pedulla??

I am very close to my rock bottom price for this bass - unless I sell it local.
I guarantee that whoever buys this bass will not be disapointed. I've owned two other fretless basses and this Pedulla blows them both out of the water. No comparison.

Michael Pedulla produces very fine finishes on his instruments. I wish I had kept my 85 Buzz Bass, (sigh)

Actually the 3+1 headstck is the older style. The fretted Thunderbass is a 1993 and the fretless Thunderbass is a 95.

It's not official yet , but it looks like this bass may soon be sold. I'll say for sure when the deal is done and close the thread then.
Open for offers yet (No trades) until it is officially sold.
