FS: 1996 German Warwick Corvette, Thin wenge neck, marble finish, light weight

I just got this bass from another TBer. It is a great bass, but I am using my thumb more so I am putting it for sale. It is 1996 Warwick Corvette 4 string, German made with wenge neck. The neck thin like a Fender jazz bass so it is joy to play (not thick as other Warwick), marble finish. Light weight, around 9 lbs. Only 50 of these were made. Passive (volume, pickup selection, tone). Great condition. Everything works perfectly. Neck is straight, trust rod works fine, no noise. Great sounding bass. Comes with a giged bag in good condition.
Here is some specs of this bass:
4 string
Serial Number H XXXXXX 96
Year 1996
Month August
Number 032XXX
Neck Wood Wenge Wood
Fingerboard Wenge Wenge
Frets Bronze Warwick Frets
Nut Just a Nut Brass Version
Neck construction Bolt On
Body Swam Ash Wood
Surface Black Marble Stoned High Polish Surface
Pickups JJ MEC Dynamic Correction Pickups
Electronic Passive MEC Electronic
Chrome Hardware
Here is the original ad:
Warwick Corvette 4 - Thin wenge neck, brass nut, German, marble finish, light weight!
I am asking what I paid so I take a loss on the shipping and paypal fee. Price is $700 shipped within the USA. I can ship oversea if you pay actual cost of shipping. No trade as I have enough basses. Paypal payment is fine.

** REDUCED TO $650 SHIPPED - FIRM **

so is it just not your tone or is the feel very different from your thumb?

The feel is better much than my Thumb NT (this bass has thinner neck and no neck dive, lighter) but I need money so I have to sell it, otherwise I will keep this bass. The sound is kind of similar to my thumb in passive mode, but I am more of an active bass guy so I will stick with my thumb.

Isnt that what's in it now? Regardless, I am AMAZED that this is still here- if you've never done wenge, you really ought to try it. It is much like a perfectly-cooked brownie, fresh from the oven, when you are HUNGRY. Just good

Warwick MEC pickups that have dynamic correction on them typically point to being a passive PU. Best way to confirm is by looking at the electronics and seeing if there is a red-hot wire from the PU. If its only white and black-passive PU indeed!!!!

Yeah - it's a stunning piece, and if it is still available when my tax refund comes in I'll pull the trigger on that baby instantly!
