FS: 1996 USA Fender Fretless P-Bass - Brand New! SOLD!

Sign in to disble this ad
This is a '96 Corona factory-lined fretless that is in absolutely new/mint/virtually unplayed condition! Factory strings and the plastic is still on the pickguard.

These basses were only made for two years for the 50th Anniversary celebration and therefore are rare - and certainly more so in this condition!

Black nitro finish w/rosewood board.

SOLD

Comes with original hard case and case candy, truss rod tool, etc.

Many more pics here: http://s261.photobucket.com/albums/i...20Bass%201996/

I don't frequent TalkBass too often, but I'm a proud contributor to many other guitar forums such as The Gear Page, Harmony Central, Ibanez Collectors World, and Let's Talk Guild. I have done dozens of deals on line and can provide many references if necessary for your peace of mind.

Thanks for looking!

I'm no bass marketing expert, so after a few consultations here I've adjusted the selling price downward. Thanks to all for your guidance and feedback.

Still, where you gonna find another like this??!?

Had two different ones of these before from 95 and 96 and both were great players. They both had polyester finishes if I remember correctly though.

I defer to your greater knowledge, then. The tech at the guitar shop said "nitro."

Thanks!

I did a little research and I think that the finish confusion stems from the guitar having a poly undercoat with both a nitro color coat and a clear nitro topcoat.

Possibly - but it would have to be something of the six-string variety. Teles and LPs always appreciated, but also Hamers and others.

That is SEXY!!
I'm not a P-bass player myself, but me thinks this'd be something good to keep in your stable!!

I DO like split coils for fretless..more output, gives it a bit of an extra edge. I've had both, but couldn't stand single coils.

AND it's like new? Come on! A gem like this has been sitting here for almost two months.

Sad, sad world..

(I like mid- to late- 90s basses )
