SOLD!
I bought this bass in June 1997 and have been it's one and only owner. It was my first $1000+ bass and I had always said that I'd keep it no matter what. Well, I guess that wasn't true. This thing has been sitting quietly in the case for several years now. I've pulled it out and plunked around on it from time to time but, my tastes have changed considerably and I just can't for the life of me play basses that have such narrow string spacing anymore. It's been played and has the wear to show it. Fully functional though without any playability issues.
As you'll see in the pics, there are various nicks, marks and scratches. The "slap area" is worn in as is the area where my thumb would rest - either on top of the neck pup or in between the pups. The pups themselves have visible string wear. Fret wear is visible but not significant. The board is in great shape. Battery box in the back has a crack at the very top; doesn't hurt funtionality. As with most SR's, the neck is great; very "fast." A very easy-to-play bass before I became acclimated to wider string spacings.
You don't see these pop up that often apparently. I've searched quite a bit without finding much information regarding these basses. I originally paid around $1200 for this bass. I'm asking for
$550 $500 OBRO shipped CONUS. I'd prefer a payment that did not involve a fee for me but, I'm open to discuss payment method. This is mainly for sale as I need to generate some cash but, I might be open to a trade depending on what you have. Can't think of a comparable bass trade but, maybe cabs.
