Well here it is. The bass I said I would never sell. You know how GAS works.
This is a Modulus Flea made in 1997 in the rare purple sparkle finish. I know in the picture it looks pink, but in person it looks a lot more purple. It's really hard to capture the color in a picture due to just how sparkly it is.
Cosmetically, it is in fantastic condition. The only flaws are a few scratches below the bridge that would be next to impossible to photograph due to the finish. It took inspecting the bass under a super bright light for me to even notice them.
At some point in the life of this bass, the pickup was replaced with a Seymour Duncan humbucker (not the one from Modulus) which I actually prefer over the stock pup in the other Fleas I've played. Also, a coil splitter switch was added which really opens up new tonal options that would otherwise not be possible from the (admittedly tonally limited) Flea. For an example, check out
this video. That's with the switch in the middle position. The preamp is the stock 2 band Bartolini.
Looking for $1500 + shipping. No trades, please (unless you have a Line 6 Pod X3 Pro or some studio monitors).
