Wink FS: 1998 EB MusicMan Sterling 4H - Sunburst/Maple

Up for sale is a 1998 Ernie Ball MusicMan Sterling 4 string with single humbucker pickup.

This color, Sunburst, is no longer available. It was the predecessor to their current Honeyburst color.

Maple neck/fretboard. Single piece of maple, not laminated. Superlatively smooth and fast.

Weight estimate is 9-9.5 lbs on bathroom scale. (I would say it's closer to 9 by feel/heft comparison with my other Sterling that is 9.5 lbs on the same bathroom scale. Precision not guaranteed.)

I've had this bass for 10-12 years and am the second owner. It's in excellent condition and has relatively little playtime on it, as it was my backup to my main Sterling.

Paypal only. CONUS sale only.

$800 shipped in brand new Kaces polyfoam case.
SOLD

I play with really low string height. Can this beast be set ultra low?

Hi, thanks for looking.

I'm not sure how to answer that, as "ultra low" is subjective.

With that said, I'd say I don't set my string height "ultra low" but "pretty low" as I dig in pretty hard with my right hand attack. It could likely be set up lower than it is.

Thanks!

Geez, what a deal. I love my Sterling 4H. If it was a 5 or a diff. pickup configuration, I'd have to consider it. Beautiful bass, regardless - free bump!

Several PMs replied.

Fair warning: my motivation to part with this Sterling goes down based on other GAS fundraising efforts, or status of my GAS target!
