I have for sale a '98 Sterling H in a beautiful velvet natural finish. The velvet finish is more of a matte finish, as opposed to the glossy natural.
The weight according to my ever-so-accurate bathroom scale is a little under 9 lbs. This bass is in terrific shape. It will ship in a worn, but usable gig bag...but packed very well. The neck is flawless and the frets are good. The only minor thing is that the tab is broken off on the battery compartment (but it still opens and closes like it should).
The only reason I'm selling it is I have found a bass I have been looking for for years (an early 70's P bass with a "A" neck with a rosewood board) and unfortunately it means I have to sell a couple of my basses.
If you aren't familiar with Sterling basses, they are awesome. The thin, Jazz-like necks are some of the fastest I've ever played...and with the three band active preamp and the ability to switch from double to single coil, parallel to series mode, the tonal options are endless. Not to mention, they are lightweight, so they are easy on the back.
This bass is priced to move at $775 shipped to the lower 48. I will accept PayPal or a US Postal Money Order. Sorry, no trades. If you have any questions, send me a PM or shoot me an e-mail to
peabody59@hotmail.com.
Thanks!
