FS: 1998 Squier P Bass, really good shape!

Just acquired this bad boy, but it's not my bag...

Squier Affinity Precision Bass, neck stamped "MAY 98".
For it's age, it's in great shape, the previous owner is a friend of mine who is very particular. There are a few chips and dings, but compared to other Squiers of this age, I'd say it's well above average condition. He stopped playing it years ago and it has been in a bag since.

When I got it, I scrubbed the neck down, polished the frets up, adjusted the action, added a shim to the neck, intonated it, and it's got old (but warm) strings on it (Boomers?). I also sprayed some cleaner in the pots and they work 100% now, no crackles. It sounds so much like a P bass, you'd swear you're playing a P bass... and you'd be right!

Made in China, not Indonesia. I don't know if that helps or hinders the value, but I'll say that it seems put together quite nicely. Neck's in good shape, frets don't poke out, feels solid and works great. Truss rod functions and isn't stripped. The color is like a "Ketchup Red (or catsup)". It's not as bright as the newer red they use.
Weighs in at... 9.4 lbs.
Includes thin Fender gig bag.

$120 + Shipping.
If interested, PM with zip code for a quote. Paypal only (unless local, then Cash)

(It's not a scratch across the back, that's a reflection off of the chair)

$100 + shipping is my lowest, as it sits.

Anyone?

What was it you didn't like about it? How does it compare to other P-style basses you've played? I've been looking to get a P so this might be one I'd consider if I dont go the VM route.

For me personally, it's a complete lack of need for this bass. I am a 5 string guy and I have 3 basses that get used more.
The friend of mine wanted a case I had, this was his trade. I'm just trying to cash out.

This thing sounds and plays like a typical P bass, but it's just really basic. Add some flats and a better looking pickguard and it'd be an instant classic!

How's the action? I'm on the fence for this one because I'm not too sure about the color and I want to check out some other things. The weekend after this coming one I'll be checking my local stores to see if anything more attractive pops up, but if not and this is still available I'll probably hit you up

The action is very nice. I don't even allow a bass to live in my home without a proper adjustment. I have this set low enough to feel better than 99% of the basses you'd find at GC, brand new (though in all fairness, that's not really hard to achieve ).

The strings aren't super low, the neck has slight relief (on purpose!), it's intonated, easy to play, no buzzes, and would likely rate at "well above average" for it's $100 price tag.
