SOLD!!! For Sale: a 1998 Warwick Thumb Bolt-on, 4-string, in excellent condition. 1998 is the last full year Warwick used the thin-profile, ultra-playable three-piece wenge necks on TBOs; this one's particularly nice, and the bass had a full fret level and dress and setup about three months ago. She's totally stock except for a new Neutrik output jack I had installed during the fretwork. The bass plays like butter, and growls with authority – in fact, I find this particular TBO to have a smoother, more rounded tone than is typical of a Thumb (and I've played a bunch – it took me three years to find a pre-1999 TBO good enough to add to my stable).
This one's got a little play wear in the typical spots on the body (pickup covers, just above neck pickup), but the hardware's all fine and there are no major dings on either the ovangkol body or the neck. Comes with a practically brand new Warwick RockBag (later, better model) and the black leather strap pictured since it's got Straploks installed.
