The area under the pickguard has been cored (honeycombed) to reduce weight and give the bass a better tone. (This work was done by Mr. Drake himself, so it was done professionally)
Some wear on the pickguard around the treble side near the pickups from years of pick playing.
I love this bass but I no longer play maple necked basses, so this is being sold to fund a new warmoth wenge neck for another bass of mine. I used this as a backup bass to my Drake Custom for about a year, it only saw the stage about 4 times. I baby my gear, so the dings you see are from when Andrew originally owned the bass, but since they're in the back, you can't really see them. The neck on this thing is amazing in my opinion: great birdseye figuring and an even better rosewood board (one of the few I've loved the look of, great color).
This will be sold with a cheap Musicians Friend bass case mostly for shipping safety.
