I have a (West German Made!) '99 Warwick Fortress One 5er. It's got a minor HeadStock ding and some scratches on the lower horn on the body. Its' a Player. SOLID Flamed maple body, (Non-Baseball bat sized!) Ovangkol neck, wenge boards, Duncan straplocks, MEC jazz pickups & preamp. Tone is Bright & Growling. Weight is 9Lbs 12 Ozs. Balances Perfectly!
You can see the scratches on the lower horn. Pretty minor...
Made in West Germany on the tuners...
Serial Number indicates a 1999 build...
Wenge Necks hold some sort of Mystical attraction. The only advantage I've found is they aren't affected by weather changes. For Tone & Feel, I'll take Ovangkol anyday of the week. Look at this Beauty!
