I posted these here over a week and now they're up on ebay:

Fretted:
http://cgi.ebay.com/Conklin-GT-7-sev...item2eaefc92b0

Fretless:
http://cgi.ebay.com/Conklin-GT-7-sev...item2eaefc9465

Starting bid $1000 each.

My aim was to make two seven strings that could trigger midi or Roland VB-99. It was an expensive upgrade but it worked.

I enlisted the help of SF Bay Area luthier Gary Brawer of Stars guitars. We upgraded the analog pre-amps with Bartolini with three band sweep. We installed RMC peizo pickups which have their own custom setting on Roland V-bass and VB-99. We added a toggle switch to the bass for switching between patches and a peizo-magnetic pickup blend knob as well. Gary Pleked the frets on the fretted model--fancy laser fret-dressing to very low action and zero buzz.

Through a VB-99, these basses can sound like anything from an upright to Victor Wooten to a fretless. Endless possibilities.

The fretted model has some finish damage at the heal strap-button (see picture) otherwise no cracks or scratches of any significance. They are in excellent condition and the necks are smooth and true.

Here are some pictures and feel free to write with questions.

Bidding or auctions are against the rules on TB.

Hi,
From what I understood, I can post these here with information that they are up on ebay. provided I first offered them here for a set price for over a week. I did that and just wanted to announce that they were available on ebay. Is that within the rules? I'm new here so not claiming to know.

You may be right. I just know that auctions aren't allowed on TB.
