FS: 2 Month-Old Ibanez ATK 305 Tri-Fade Color

Sign in to disble this ad
Hello, I bought this bass about one month ago from a fellow TBer. The ONLY reason I'm selling is because I've decided to pursue getting a 5 string jazz bass with 18-19 mm spacing. I was debating the jazz bass when this bass showed up a month ago, but bought this bass I guess you could say on impulse considering that I had not finished deliberating the jazz bass.

Don't read anything negative into my selling...this is a very nice bass and it's beyond me how Ibanez could sell these at such low cost. As I told the original owner a few days after I bought this bass, it rivals the tone of one of my $2K plus basses, and I'm not exaggerating. Therein lies the main reason I'm selling. I don't have any basses with a pure jazz bass tone, but this Ibanez cops the tone of a few basses already in the stable. Looking to get $350 (includes shipping) which is what I paid for this bass. I'm learning bass and don't play out anywhere, so this bass has not left the house since i received it around mid-December. In new condition just as I received it. We can discuss payment methods but I'm leaning toward PAYPAL or money order.

Thank You

I neglected to mention that I will include the gig bag that originally came with the bass. The original owner states that he paid $50 for it when he ordered the bass two months ago. It's a crimson-red and black RoadRunner gig bag. Thanks again!!

Where does this beauty live?
How much does it weigh?
And where and when was it made?

Cheers

Murphy,

Using a reliable "Tanita" digital home scale with the "my weight plus the bass" minus the "my weight" method, I show the bass is between 9.2 and 9.4 pounds. I expected it to be heavier before I received it based on all of the things I had read, but was a bit surprised. I'm not sure how to determine when it was actually made (maybe you can suggest something), but it is one of the "made in Indonesia" models. The bass is in Atlanta where I live. Thanks for checking it out. I'll look into trying to determine when the bass was made.

OK folks, MAKE ME AN OFFER on this bass and we can negotiate something reasonable considering any shipping charges. It's a nice bass. I'm just trying to make room for a jazz-style bass. Thanks
