Weight? (Sorry, but one man's "super light" is another's boat anchor...)

What makes this a "Hot Rod" Precision Bass? Does it have the S-1 coil switching? Also, is the nut width 1.75" or is it narrower, like a Jazz Bass??

PS - I like that "Amstel Youth" video clip on your website. Was it shot in Annapolis, Baltimore, or somewhere else?

Its actually the model name tbat was made for a few years. It was an American made P-J that was string thru. All passive..no switching. They rule.

I believe the addition of the Jazz Pickup is what Fender referred to as the " Hot rodding" of the bass. They are passive and a Good American Standard Precision with the addition of the J pup by Fender. A lot are heavier than this. VERY tempting because of the weight.

I want to say the width is "C" width. no S-1. S-1 was '03-'06. I've owned a bass from every year that had the S-1 .

Amstel was shot on Charles Street, downtown Baltimore. The actual video should be out within the next week or two!
