looks like they were just drilled? I have no idea. honestly, the straplocks hold fine, so I've never much cared. played at least 50 shows with them like that and never gave me a problem.

This thing ever sell?
Bump for a neat bass. I own a 2001 '57 AV RI and it is the best bass in the quiver. My '06 Oly White '62 RI is a close second but that '01 '57 has just the greatest (to me) neck.
Did I say bump?

You just drill the hole for the button, put it in the hole, then drill the hole for the screw.
