Hello!
I have for sale a 2001 Fender Precision Bass Deluxe. Ash body with a transparent blue/green finish and a maple fingerboard. This is an active bass and I had a passive option installed by a professional guitar tech. It has a switch to choose between active/passive and a concentric knob to control vol/tone when in passive mode. It sounds really good in both!
I bought it in 2011 from the original owner, who barely ever played it. Since then, I have gigged this bass extensively. Everything from studio to small clubs to large auditoriums. It NEVER failed to deliver awesome tone and rock solid reliability. Because it was gigged a lot, there are some signs of use (not abuse!). Nothing that affects functionality in any way, just some cosmetic stuff. I tried to document all of the blemishes in the photos, but I am a horrible photographer and I don't have a decent camera. The neck is very stable and has only needed minor tweaking since I got it. I have found this bass to be capable of very low action without buzz, but I keep it set medium-low. The intonation is spot on and it will come with a moderately lively set of DR Sunbeams (.45-.105).
These photos do not even come close to doing justice to the amazing finish and grain on this bass. It is stunning to see in person. The grain on the body is much more pronounced than my photo abilities can show.
Here is a small finish ding in the back. You can also see there is a decent amount of buckle rash:
