This bass is a 2001 MusicMan Stingray (Made in U.S.A) with a 3-band EQ and original MusicMan hard case.

I bought this bass and case used from a guy locally. He had used it on tour with his band. It has a lot of little scratches and dings on it, most of which aren't noticeable as they're mostly on the back. The picture of the back was used with a flash to highlight the scratches - they are not nearly that noticeable. There's also some missing paint near the rear strap pin (as shown in the picture).

Modifications: All of the hardware (control plate, bridge, neck plate) was professionally coated black. The knobs were replaced with black knobs. The tuners were replaced with Hipshot Ultralite tuners. I installed a killswitch/mute switch in the bass. I replaced the strap pins with Dunlop Straplocks. The strings are a new set of DR Black Beauties and the bass has been set up for these strings. The neck is very straight and, because of the Ultralites, balances very well - No neck dive.

The neck has been refinished with a satin finish. It's very smooth and fast, not sticky like gloss finishes. There are some small dark marks and a few dings on the fretboard. They do not affect playability and are not noticeable from more than a few inches away.

The pickup poles have a little bit of rust on them, but it's hardly noticeable (didn't even show up in pictures) and again, does not affect playability. I'm sure a bit of work with 400-grit sand paper will take the rest off and some clear nail polish will protect them from any future rust.

I have the original tuners and knobs for the bass if you would like them instead of the black knobs and Ultralite tuners. I do not have the strap buttons.

Bass is currently strung up with a new set of DR Black Beauties.

Price for the bass and case is $700 shipped to CONUS.

If you have any other questions, feel free to ask.

Thanks,
Joe Dub

I really need the cash right now, although the right 6+ string might make me change my mind.

On hold pending payment.
