FS: 2002 EBMM Stringray 5 - Natural/Rosewood

Sign in to disble this ad
New EDIT: Opening up to trades for 5 or 6 string basses of equal value, or possibly the right bass of lesser value plus cash on your end. I can't put much cash into a deal, and I don't need any more 4's right now, thanks.

I would prefer 18mm or wider spacing, but let me know what you got. A Fender P5 or J5 might get some serious attention. I will probably steer away from MM-style pickups. 34 or 35" scale is ok, depending on the bass. Fretted preferred as I already have 3 fretli.

On to the posting.

************************************************** ************************************************** *******

As much as I love this bass, the sound isn't quite for me and I find myself choosing my L2500 most of the time that I use a fretted 5. I'll put this one out there, though I won't be heart-broken if it doesn't go anywhere.

Here are the specs:
*Made in 2002 or so
*Ash body
*maple neck/Rosewood board
*Single Humbucker, Ceramic, 3-way coil switching
*3-band EQ
*Tortoise (WD) and Black (EB) pickguards
*Original EBMM hardshell case
*Currently has a fresh set of D'Addario Pro Steels on it
*I will include a set of CHROME Ernie Ball Strap Locks (not shown).
*Approximately 9.5-10lbs - will try to weigh on a decent scale.

The acoustic resonance of this bass is awesome. It really sings unplugged, and that translates well plugged in. The condition is excellent, too. Not a scratch on it, aside from 2 thumb rest holes on the front that were professionally repaired. See pics...

Cash price is $1000 SHIPPED CONUS. Will consider Canada, and AK/HI, but shipping may be more.

On to the pics:

The thumb-rest holes, professionally filled and finished:

Thanks, but I'm pretty well set for 4-string electrics - 'cept maybe an Alembic.

Otherwise, I'd consider ~18mm 6-strings, or an upright, or the "right" 5-string (I'll know it when I see it, and not a moment before).

Thanks anyway, though.
