SOLD! For sale: a 2002 G&L USA L-2000 bass, in gloss black with maple neck – yes, one of those – in excellent condition. This beaut's got the #8 Jazz neck (satin back), and is hands down the most versatile bass I've ever owned. Frets are in great shape, there are no major dings, chrome hardware is all pristine, and everything works as new (passive/active preamp, series/parallel switch, pickup selector switch, treble/bass/volume knobs)
The bass has been gigged somewhat regularly for the past two and a half years, so there's some normal wear – a couple near-microscopic boo-boos, some light surface scratching (which is going to happen on a black bass basically if you touch it; car polish will get most of it out), and a barely perceptible abrasion on the back of the neck around the fifth fret that existed when I bought the bass. But all of this is really minor; I'm mentioning it in the interest of full disclosure. The fact that this has been my No. 1 bass for years – and I've owned everything from a Fender MIA Jazz and three Laklands to a Zon and a Pedulla – should say everything you need to know about its playability, its looks, and what it can do sonically. Whoever buys this is getting a keeper with mo-effing-JO.
Asking $850 shipped to CONUS, which includes a nowhere-near-mint (that means authentic, hehe) G&L hard shell case and a Levy's suede leather strap with Dunlop Straploks installed. No international deals (I may consider Canada, but at the buyer's extra cost), and no trade offers, please.
I'm selling my entire rig (life needs, hehe … gotta do what you gotta do); please check my other FS items for some killer gear! (Getting rid of this G&L, though, is gonna hurt the most).

Love the black/maple look!! I ended up with a G&L L2K spalted from Bass Emporium in Austin....which I am very happy with.
Good luck with your sale!!
Chris

I don't have a scale, so I can't say exactly, but G&Ls weren't designed for lightness ... this one's not light, but it's not heavy, either. It's in the middle; I'd say around 9 lbs. My 98 Warwick Thumb BO (also for sale!) is heavier, but not by much.
The G&L is very well balanced, however, which helps!

MNF doubleshot bump ... | It's really crazy these days, there's been a 3 bolt L2000 on CL for over a month @ $600 and hasn't sold. I ebayed my yamaha, but the fees are terrible now. Wish I had the change, yours is gorgeous. Free bump.
