FS: 2003 G&L L-1505 Unlined Fretless 5

This is a VERY nice bass. It's finished in a very pretty tobacco sunburst that really doesn't photograph accurately. I tried but in most of the photos it ends up looking much brighter than it actually is.

It has a matching headstock which I think looks killer. The unlined board is ebony which I have been told is no longer available. Electronics are stock and it comes with the stock G&L molded hard case.

With the exception of one ding on the edge of the body the bass is totally mint. No other marks, dents, scratches or dings of any kind. There is one photo where I tried to show the ding.

It sounds, well just like a fretless G&L should! Thick rich fretless tone and lots of that ever popular "mwah"! It offers a fair amount of tonal versatility as well and you can dial in plenty of bite if you want it.

SOLD! - I'm asking $850.00 for it shipped and insured in the Continental US.

Not really interested in any trades at the moment as I have bills that need to be paid. I will consider all reasonable cash offers!

I completely agree my good Doctor!

I just have too many nice basses right now and I need to pay off some bills so some of the good ones have to go too!

Wow, that is rich looking, I would need a snifter of cognac and a smoking jacket to really play it right.

Please tell me it is just too, too heavy and I shouldn't bother thinking about it.

I love my G&L fretted L1505. This baby would go great with my fretted one, but no mola.

These are 34" scale and spaced closer than regular 19mm, right?

How 'bout that weight?

Tom, it is a 34" scale neck and it weighs in at 10.5 lbs. The string spacing at the bridge is 17mm.

I know that 10.5 lbs. sounds like it might be too heavy to many of you but I have to say that it's never ever been a concern for me. I was actually surprised that it weighed that much. It felt more like 9.8 lbs. to 10 lbs. to me.

Regardless it's a really sweet fretless that will make someone very happy. I just took it out of the case to weigh and measure it and I must say that I'm always struck by it's beauty.

Absolutely true!

A year or so back I didn't think I could play an unlined board accurately. It's amazing what a little practice can do.

Now I actually prefer an unlined board. Go figure!

SOLD! - This one is heading to Chicago. Thanks to everyone who expressed interest in this beautiful bass. I hated to let it go.
