FS: 2003 Lakland 55-02 Bartolini equipped $825 Shipped!*

Sign in to disble this ad
I think my price is crazy low & if it doesn't go at this price I'm just going to put it in the closet for a while.

Up for sale/trade is my trusty ash/rosewood 55-02
It has been played so it has some swirls, scuffs etc. Nothing major, but I know how some TBers are about pristine basses so I thought I'd mention it.
Weighs in at 9.3 lbs.
Plays Awesome!!

The frets are in great shape & the action on this thing is borderline ridiculous....with no buzz.

IMHO the fretboards dressed by hand at Lakland kill the plekked ones I've played! The fretboard edges and fret ends are much smoother. There I said it....while I'm on a roll I might as well get kicked out of the Lakland fanboy club & say that the Bartolini pickups and preamp slay the Lakland/Hanson setup. The Bartolini setup just has a nice warmth without the high mid clank that I hear in the Lakland/Hanson setup. This is all in my opinion etc. so please don't yell at me
The case is not included, but a new padded gig bag is.

$850 Paypal shipped lower 48 US
I'll knock off $25 for payment with USPS money order (*$825 shipped)

I will ship internationally, but buyer will pay all shipping costs

Depending on how old it is, all Skyline basses are Plek'd now. I don't know when they started it, but it's on their website.

LOL, you're still allowed in the club... I'm a "Bart Lover" myself, although all my experience has been w/ the US pre2000 pups and pre (see my avatar pic ). They're supposed to be considerably different.

If you had a maple fretboard on her we'd be talking .

Bump for a beauty!

I just sold my 55-02 (about the same age) this week for $836, so stick to your guns or put it back in the closet. Some soon-to-be-very happy player hit the "buy it now" button for mine about 18 hours after I posted it - he wasn't taking any chances.

Would you be willing to trade for a Traben Kore 5 with a custom-fitted Viking Cases flight case?
