SOLD! (This is a "split-post" of an earlier post I made that listed 2 basses...I'm splitting up the posts to better respond to replies-GDD) 2004 Fender MIM Mike Dirnt Precision Bass (4-string) that is in FANTASTIC condition.
No dings, chips, gouges, scrapes, scratches, buckle rash, etc. Maybe a small amount of swirl to the finish, and just a bit of speckling to the chrome control plate. In fact, the finish is so shiny, I had trouble photographing it with a flash and resorted to "no flash" pics for most of them.... You can see how well the finish reflects in the photos.
I've made a few minor modifications: a) Black strap buttons b) Custom 3-ply pickguard (White/Black/Silver "Marble").
Everything else is stock and works well:
It has the Leo Quan Badass II Bridge, Vintage '70 Fender stamped tuners, Custom Vintage '59 Split-Coil pickup, '51 headstock shape and slab style body, '55 style front arm contour and pickguard shape. It is strung with a barely used pair of Thomastik-Infeld Jazz Flatwounds.
I'm also including the original Fender 1-ply parchment pickguard (still has protective cover on it), and a second after-market pickguard from Jeannie's Pickguards. It is a 3/32" thick 1-ply gloss black (1-ply that is as thick as a 3-ply)--I opened it, never mounted it, and re-wrapped it in the original packaging.
It will be packed in a Fender gig bag and double-boxed for shipping.
In the honest total forthcoming of known issues, there does seem to be a minor ground hum that comes and goes that developed lately. It is not present all the time and it disappears when you touch the control plate, knobs, bridge, or jack. Sounds like a loose ground wire inside to me.
