I'm looking to sell a 2006 Fender Factory Special Run (FSR) Hot Rod Jazz bass that I took as a partial trade a while back. This bass was produced for and sold exclusively through the Guitar Center. According to Fender and as reiterated here on Talkbass, only 215 of this color combination were produced. This is the US made FSR series, not the MIM series as shown in the headstock decal. This bass is completely stock except for the new set or Ernie Ball strings that were just installed. Olympic white nitrocellulose finish with matching headstock, tort pickguard, samarium cobalt noiseless (SCN) pickups, Leo Quan pre-slotted bridge, and S1 switch. The Olympic white color has aged slightly to a very cool, bright cream color. The action is currently set up fairly low, it is a fantastic player, and a tone monster. At first I did not think that I would like the S1 switch but after gigging with this bass a few times it really does add signficantly to the tones that this bass can achieve. This one is up for sale only due to the fact that I have another Jazz and my main gigging bass now is a precision. There are no functionality or playability issues with this bass, adult owned and in great condition. There are a couple very minor finish blemishes, nothing terrible. Black molded Fender hardshell case is included, also in great condition, all latches are there as is the black plush lining. $900 shipped via ground lower 48, PayPal ok. Not interested in trying to ship this internationally and not interested in any trades at this time. |
