FS: 2006 Fender Highway 1 Jazz $575 shipped

***UPDATE 4/25/08 - CHANGE OF HEART, DECIDED TO KEEP THE BASS***

Up for sale is my main bass, a 2006 Fender Highway 1 Jazz. This is the model with the BAII bridge, graphite support rods for the neck, and greasebucket tone circuit.

The only reason I'm selling is to finance my latest GAS attack - a Musicman Sterling HS with a maple neck. If you've got one, lets talk about a trade + cash on my part. That is the only trade I'm looking for.

I have played about 7 or 8 gigs with this bass. I'd say the wear is pretty minimal and I've done my best to capture this using my aging 3.2MP digital camera.

Known flaws:
I swapped the pickguard out with my VM Modified 70's jazz bass. The pickguard fits well enough, but doesn't have the little section cut out for the truss rod access. Also these is a small gap right around the control knobs. I felt it looked so much better with the black pickguard I overlooked this.

There is a paint flaw on the side of the left side of the bass that resembles a lighter red or pink scratch. This is viewable to the player if they are wearing the bass and look straight down.

The paint is a tad too shiny where I tend to rest my thumb in between the pickups. I wasn't able to capture this very well with my camera.

On the positive side, the back appears to be relatively free of buckle rash. My tummy is so soft and supple that the original stickers are present on the neck plate.

The bass is strung with 45-105 DR Black Beauties. These are about 1 month old and have 1 gig and about 4 practices on them.

I'm asking $575 shipped and insured in a Sam Ash Guitar Research brand gig bag. I'm very new to this selling thing, so I'd like to keep it simple and keep shipping within the USA if possible.

Payment can be via Paypal or Money Order. Now, on with the pictures!

I have the SAME EXACT BASS, same color and all, but still the white guard. I just got it last weekend (NOS) and it sounds fantastic! I think these are the best deal on a USA Fender around, and I wish this had been up for sale 6 days ago, would of saved a chunk of cash! lol.

But a un-needed bump for a great bass, that anyone who like Jazzes will not be disappointed!
