FS: 2006 Fender Jaguar Bass Olympic white DiMarzio Area Js

Sign in to disble this ad
Hello TBers!
I decided that I would rather take a trip with my wife to NYC for our aniversary than own 3 Fender basses. I love this jag, but with the style of music I play it is tonally redundant to my modified Geddy Lee and has been chillin in the closet as a backup bass to my GL for most of its existence.

I don't have a benchmark value for the rare color, so I won't try to rip anyone off. I am simply asking for $850 shipped. This is the price of a new Jag Deluxe + you get the upgraded pickups ($110 installed in August) and the sexy super-rare color! I had the bass shipped directly to me from a friend in Tokyo when white was not available in the US (PM me for serial #). I think this is a fair asking price, but please PM me if you think I am off by a considerable margin.

Cosmetically, there are only 2 notable imperfections: a small ding in the back of the headstock between the G and D tuners (in closeup pic) this can be sanded out, but I'm not very handy. There's also a very mild belt rash in the lower bout (in closeup pic). The hardware is in great shape and considering how little it got played since I've had it, the frets have plenty of life as it was hardly played

It's currently set up very well with new-ish Billy Sheehan Rotosounds (110 - 45). The action is just awesome! No playability defects of any kind—truss moves freely as it should. Electronics are wired in the standard configuration. The pickups have a major upgrade. DiMarzio Area Js are "noiseless" and sound punchy, detailed, and awesome.

Like-new Deluxe Fender gig bag included!

The jaguar is a very unique and sophisticaed animal. If your are unsure what all the fancy knobs and buttons do, please Google "Jaguar bass controls." I don't have enough room to list them here!

PM for ANY questions—thanks for looking!

PS since it's only a matter of time before someone calls me out on my headstock picture, the screws on the E tuner ARE back to stock. When I took these pics, I just swapped my hipshot tuner for OEM, but accidentally installed the HS screws before snapping those pics. No harm done, just didn't want anyone to think I was trying to pull a fast one!

Wish I could justify another Jag... Love that color. I already have two, one sunburst with SCN's and the other black on black with Duncan's. This would round out the collection perfectly. Wish I could come up with the cash ? HUGE BUMP FOR AWESOME BASS

Hey, nice bass.

Someone correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe these sell new for $850. Your price is definitely within normal limit then.

Considering the swapped pups, pretty good price actually

Thanks for the confirmation! I was also factoring in the color, as it is quite rare. Fender only produced this finish in the US for a little over a year, I believe.

She's doing well on feeBay. I'll post an update as to whether she sells or I get burnt by a non-paying bidder (which isn't unlikely).
