| I wanted to give this a bump and vouch for it's niceness. This is an alder body, sunburst jazz - I'm going to loan msangster my camera this weekend to get some shots up of the bass.
This one has a really nice dark, rich rosewood board. It plays great and sounds amazing with the Sadowsky pre and singles. Passive it sounds like a good 60's jazz should. With the preamp engaged, it's got the ability to really add huge lows, punch, and bite, and it's got the VTC to provide a wide array of tones.
I believe it's set up volume/blend. This thing is a steal at $1,100. They routinely go for between $800 and $950 - the Sadowsky pre with VTC is $250 new, and the singles are $160, not to mention professional installation.
Fenders can be hit or miss, but this is a very good (American) jazz, TB'ers! |
