FS: 2008 Fender American Standard Precision

I have for sale a beautiful 2008 Fender American Standard Precision. It has the traditional three tone sunburst finish, tort guard and a rosewood board.

When I picked this up a few months ago it did not come with the electronics, so I added a Lindy Fralin P pickup. The Fralin definitely gives it a vintage vibe. I also added a thumb rest to give it a '62 Reissue look and feel. I also installed a set of Dunlop straplocks and will be shipped in a worn, but functional gig bag (the molded case in the picture is not included) . The bass is currently strung with a set of D'Addario Chromes. Other than a couple of minor scratches, it is in great shape.

Also when I bought it, I exchanged necks and put on a '72 Fender Jazz neck. I have decided to sell the Jazz neck separately (look for my ad under Accessories), so I put the original neck back on.

Yes it does...it turned out just like I hoped.

However, I just pulled the trigger on a '72 Precision (that should be here today), so I need to sell the American Std (and the Jazz neck) to cover the cost.

I should have the reassembled bass back today from the shop, so I'll post a new pic tonight.

The bass has been reassembled. I almost forgot how good it played with the original neck.

FYI...this one weighs in at right around 8.5 lbs.

I have dramatically dropped the price....

$699 shipped to anywhere in the lower 48.

Please note...with this new lower price, the bass will not include the molded case shown in the pictures. It seems my son wants this case for his new Jaguar. The bass will be shipped in a worn, but functional gig bag. I have also edited the original post to reflect this change.

This is a killer price for a like new MIA P bass....
