Hey guys,
Up for grabs is my 2008 Fender Classic 60's Jazz bass. I bought this about two months back from another TB'er here in the classifieds. I was looking to downsize my stable to just a P bass, J bass, and StingRay so that I could cover all "basses" (

) for any and all gigs. That said, I've never been a jazz bass kind of guy, and despite my attempts to love the neck and body shape I just can't do it. As they say, my loss is your gain!
Here's the run own on the upgrades:
Wymore Stack Knob Controls (wired vintage-correct, with resistors and 250/250 pots)
Genuine Fender Stack Knobs w/correct detent washers (vintage correct, unlike the cheaper AllParts stack knobs)
Nordstrand NJ4 Single Coil Pickups
Gotoh GBR640 Res-O-Lite Tuners
Pickguardian Red Tort Pickguard
Dunlop Strap Locks
Tug Bar and Chrome Pickup/Bridge Covers
Fender Tolex Hardshell Case
This bass gives off an incredible sort of vintage vibe. The tone is top notch, and it really captures the Motown sound while remaining familiar with classic rock and old school finger funk stylings. The neck is incredibly quick, and the action on this thing is very low and without any sort of fret buzz.
As far as the condition is concerned, this bass might as well be considered near mint. I've looked it over and haven't found anything wrong with it besides light swirling in the finish that ever bass gets from being played. There are no chips or dents that I can find, and everything is in perfect working order.
To say the least, this bass is incredible. The tone is there. The feel is there. Everything is there. I wish I could learn to love the neck and offset body because this bass is as great as any jazz bass can be, but I guess I'm more of a P bass kind of guy.
Feel free to contact me with any questions you might have in regards to the bass and I'll do my best to answer them. Here's the original thread I bought the bass from. It has a more in depth overview of the bass, as well as more pictures, and I'm sure Will would be happy to answer any questions you might have in regards to the bass as well
