I have a Custom Shop Custom Classic Jazz Bass as well; it is a great instrument.

FYI, the Custom Classic was discontinued, and Fender never really replaced it with anything. Sweetwater commissioned Fender Custom Shop to make a special run, which we are calling the Custom Classic Special. There are some differences between the two models. As we just started receiving the Custom Classic Special basses, I have to assume that you have a Custom Classic instead and may want to remove the word "Special" in the first line of your post.

If the Custom Classic was discontinued it was very recently. My cousin ordered one with a PJ configuration and got it back in August, that was the 2nd one he bought in two years! I a/b'ed the CS CC bass with my MIA FMT V and believe me the FMT V bass was pretty close with the neck on the FMT V being a little bit thicker and the FMT V being heavier. I thought the FMT/QMT basses where discontinued because of the CS CC bass I also own a CS CC four and it's an awesome bass. it just sounds awesome and sounds best recorded!

i went back to the original fender listing and updated the listing in an effort to provide an accurate listing of woods and features. the bass is stock other than the Badass bridge.
