FS: 2009 Ibanez BTB 575 FM ~~MINT!!~~

Sign in to disble this ad
I will probably regret this later, but I am offering up my BTB 575 for sale.

I started playing bass in January, and as much as I love this instrument, I am finding a 4 string better for my learning at this point.

I bought this bass new in February. It has only left my house for weekly lessons. It has been well cared for and is in better than new condition. I say "better than new" b/c I paid to have some fretwork done to address buzzing. I couldn't believe how nice it played after it came back from the guitar tech!

I seriously don't think there is a scratch on it, but I will give it a thorough look tonight to make sure. It has Elixirs on it that still look brand new!

Let's see, for those not familiar:

5 string
35 inch scale (tight B string!)
Mahogany body
5-piece BTB5 maple/bubinga thru-neck
medium frets
trans-gray, figured maple top (matching headstock)
Mono-rail II bridge
Bartolini MK2-5 neck pickup
Bartolini MK2-5 bridge pickup
Bartolini MK2 3-band EQ

I think this thing looks and sounds great. You can coax just about any tone out of this beast! I am only selling to fund a nice 4 string while maintaining marital harmony.

I don't have any pics yet, but here are some I found on the web. My bass looks the same.

This bass has been discontinued, but here's your chance to get one with a professional setup.

Asking $475 shipped in CONUS in original packaging.

Peas.

No love for the BTBs?

I looked over the bass last night, and it is basically perfect.

Feel free to make me an offer I can't refuse.

I like the BTB series. I have owned a couple, great basses.

I'm debating it. The price is more than I wanted to pay though.

BTBump

Have a nice Kaces soft case or Road Runner gig bag that I would include for a reasonable price.

This is a nice bass. I wouldn't be selling if it only had 4 strings. Oh well. Live, learn, and try more gear.

Bump for the BTB fans out there ... few as you may be.

I've got almost $600 in this bass, but will obviously take less to move it.

Let me give you a "I have the 475 and they are such great basses for the money, totally underrated, I won't sell mine" bump

Friday morning bumpage.

Surely someone needs a nice neck-thru 5 string with wide spacing.

Get yourself a hammerhead shark in perfect condition!
